Microtechnology industry reserved about TTIP in its present design

The proposed Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the European Union and the US is causing mixed feelings in the European microtechnology industry. The companies appreciate the potential benefits of the free trade agreement, but they rather disapprove of it in its considered design.

Microtechnology industry more eager to invest

The European microtechnology industry has recently been more eager to invest than in previous years. In the annual economic data survey, which the IVAM Microtechnology Network has conducted in February 2015, almost a third of the participating companies stated that they have invested more in 2014 than in the year before. This is a higher percentage than in the past years and also, it seems, above the European average.

Succesfull medical exhibition: IVAM joint pavilion at MD&M West keeps growing

From February 10-12, 2015, Anaheim, CA, was host to the largest medical technology trade show in the USA. About 2,000 exhibitors presented their products to approximately 50,000 visitors on more than 32,000 m² of space. Placed in the specifically created area “Micro Nanotech”, IVAM was present with a joint booth for 14 companies.
