nano tech in Tokyo is the world's largest international nanotechnology exhibition and conference. 2017 the nano tech will take place February 15-17 at the International Exhibition Center in Tokyo. More than 48.000 international visitors are expected. The exhibition's focus in 2017 is on high-quality, functional and smart materials, medicine and life sciences, precision instruments and machinery, semiconductors and electronics as well as automotive industry and environmental technologies.

Various other related exhibitions take place in parallel, focusing on topics like printable electronics, 3D printing, robotics, smart energy or surface technology. The IVAM Microtechnology Network will attend the nano tech once more and will again present a joint pavilion. The following exhibitors will present their product innovations on-site.

As an industry-oriented research institute Fraunhofer ISC develops materials, coating solutions, customized nanoparticles as well as cost-efficient production and upscaling processes and offers extensive nano analyses and testing. At nano tech 2017, Fraunhofer ISC will present nano-technology-based project work as well as functional prototypes, including: ultra-barrier materials, functional coatings and nano particles, micro optics and micro electronics, dielectrics and passivation for electrical interconnection technology as well as nano-imprint, TPA and 2PP technology.

GrapheneTech will present its "Grapehene Nanoplatelets Powder" at the trade fair. The powder is produced, using a proprietary top-down green process based on mechanical exfoliation, without the use of any chemical or solvent. This patented method allows tuning the manufacture process to obtain different grades of graphene nanoplatelets with different characteristics that will ensure the adaptation of the material to the final application of each client. Currently Graphene-Tech supplies three grades of graphene nanoplatelets (GP500, GP300, GP100) as well as dispersions.

Multiphoton Optics GmbH manufactures 3D laser lithography systems for the production of optical packages and biomedical products and offers a prototyping and manufacturing service. At nano tech Multiphoton Optics presents its LithoProf3D-equipment for high-precision 3D printing for applications in optics/photonics, life sciences, biomedicine, mask fabrication, etc. as well as the LithoSoft3D-slicer software to create GCodes, designs of structures and different fabrication strategies. The slicer is also available as stand-alone product. LithoP&E prototyping and engineering support for industry, institutes, and universities and consulting services, for example with respect to the implementation of conventional two-dimensional and three-dimensional process technologies (high-precision 3D printing), are also part of the product portfolio.

The Cluster Nanotechnology is supported within the Bavarian cluster initiative by the Bavarian State Government and managed by the Nanoinitiative Bayern. Major objective is the continuous development of a nanotechnology competence network for an efficient transfer of latest R&D-results into marketable products as well as the promotion of cooperation aiming at concrete projects.

NAWATechnologies specializes in the fabrication and implementation of structured nanomaterials for applications in the fields of energy, transport and environment. NAWATechnologies has three main activities: the development, production and distribution of ultra-rapid carbon batteries for future smart grids, urban transport electrification and for niche applications in extreme environments; the development of a thermal interface material capable of improved heat dissipation for power electronics components; and an R&D activity to aid its customers to develop new nanomaterial-based products.

The Ministry for Economics, Labour and Transport of Niedersachsen supports international cooperation with companies as well as research institutes and assists in all steps of settlement. In Niedersachsen nanotechnology is applied in many fields, e.g. lightweight construction, surfaces and new materials. Drivers of innovation in nanotechnology are global players like Continental, Salzgitter AG, Premium Aerotec or Volkswagen as well as SMEs like Tie GmbH producing carbonanohorns, Ludwig Nano Präzision GmbH providing production measurement at nanoscale or GATTAquant supplying nanometer rulers.

The Schaeffler Group is a leading global integrated automotive and industrial supplier. The company stands for the highest quality, outstanding technology, and strong innovative ability. The Schaeffler Group makes a key contribution to “mobility for tomorrow” with high-precision components and systems in engine, transmission, and chassis applications as well as rolling and plain bearing solutions for a large number of industrial applications. The company has been at the forefront of innovative surface and coating technology for many years.

SmartMembranes is the leading manufacturer of high-ordered porous materials from alumina and silicon with defined and adjustable membrane properties and structure parameters. Possible applications are found in the fields of filtration, sensor technology and diagnostics (biochips). By means of defined surface functionalization the membranes are used for micro reactors or catalysts, e.g. as fuel cell electrodes. Newest developments show the needs for surface structuring using the porous structures as templates.

Many medical applications are using the advantage of micro- and nanostructured surfaces. Temicon GmbH offers the complete technology portfolio necessary for the processing and the serial production of such functional surfaces by injection molding or roll imprint. Typical products are nebulizer nozzles with micrometer holes for the generation of aerosols, microstructured titerplates for stem cells differentiation, conic micromembranes for filtering of cells, anti-bacterial surfaces as well as injection mold inserts and injection molding service for the production of micro- or nanostructured products.
