China sees the future of microtechnology in the “internet of things” and “green technologies” - IVAM presented European actors

At present time China is a big growth market that IVAM – the international Microtechnology Network – wishes to exploit in collaboration with Chinese cooperation partners. Most recently IVAM presented competences of European microtechnology companies and institutes at the end of November at the ICMAN, 4. National Chinese Conference of Microtechnology in Shanghai.

IVAM establishes contacts in China: National Microtechnology Conference in Shanghai

This week international experts discussed commercial applications in microtechnology at the Shanghai ICMAN conference. “We get good insights into the situation of technology and markets in China. We will present the IVAM network and establish valuable contacts,” Dr. Uwe Kleinkes stated, CEO of the IVAM association of microtechnology. The business partner China becomes more and more important for European companies according to the IVAM data collection.

The 40 international exhibitors of the IVAM-product market „High-tech for Medical Devices“ at this years’ COMPAMED say they were really satisfied with the course of the medical supplies trade show. Thus, the U.S. company Specialty Coating Systems, world market leader in parylene coating and coating units, already applied for COMPAMED 2011 at the first day of the trade show.

German micro- and nanotechnology industry sees economic trend reversed

After the years of the economic crisis, 2008 and 2009, the microtechnology, nanotechnology and advanced materials industries in Germany are now confirming a reversal of the economic trend. More than half of the companies say that business in the first half of 2010 fared better than expected. The companies are positive about the second half of the year and look forward to the year 2011. More than 100 company representatives have expressed their current mood in a survey conducted by the IVAM Microtechnology Network.

IVAM Research presents new survey on micro- and nanotechnology in Germany to the international community

Micro- and nanotechnology companies in Germany are successful players on global markets. IVAM Research has now compiled the activities in these areas in Germany in a comprehensive survey. The “Micro/Nano Atlas of Germany“ has first been presented to the public during the annual summit of the international microtechnology community, the Micromachine Summit 2010, which took place in Dortmund at the end of April.

Micro- and nanotechnologies in the spotlight:expert discussion at the 16th annual World Micromachine Summit in Dortmund.

Last week the international micro- and nanotechnology community met in Dortmund, Germany on the occasion of the 16th international Micromachine Summit. The summits is an annual conference, which shows a snapshot of industrial, scientific and political micro and nano activities worldwide. The event was initiated in 1995 by the Micromachine Center in Japan. This year, about 100 delegates from some 20 nations held a meeting about „AAL-Ambient Assisted Living“ and disscussed improvements and political strategies of the countries with a view to funding and the utilization of new technologies.
