The technical program for the IVAM Hightech Summit 2025, taking place on May 21–22 at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, is now available – featuring exciting topics around microtechnology, photonics, and innovation. Marking the 30th anniversary of the IVAM network, the event is set to become a milestone gathering: under the motto “Tech United: Bridging Nations, Building Future,” the international microtechnology community will come together.
At the heart of the summit are technological developments with real-world applications. Across a wide range of presentations and sessions, the program highlights how photonics, microfluidics, sensor systems, and quantum technologies are increasingly interconnected – particularly in the fields of medical technology, diagnostics, and precision manufacturing.
A key focus lies in the intersection of photonics and microfluidics. Experts from industry and research will present advancements in high-resolution additive manufacturing and innovative glass solutions for bioscience applications.
In parallel, another session block will explore the impact of sensor technologies on medical applications. Topics will include new possibilities in micro-assembly, electroactive polymers as sensor-actuator systems, and the integration of IoT in demanding surgical environments.
On the second day of the summit, attention will shift to microfluidic solutions for personalized medicine. Discussions will cover ultra-precise laser microprocessing, the integration of biosensors, and the development of compact, efficient platforms for multi-parameter analysis. The interface between quantum technology and photonics will also be examined.
The program is complemented by the Innovation Arena, where emerging companies will showcase their technologies, and by an interactive hands-on session demonstrating applications in action. A panel discussion, “Stadium of Synergy,” will explore how small and medium-sized enterprises can better leverage their innovation potential.
The IVAM Hightech Summit 2025 brings together expert knowledge, international networking, and a unique event format – a must-attend for everyone looking to actively shape the future of microtechnology.
