Novel dosing valve prevents inaccurate metering

Users experience the need for dispensing liquids in various situations. Depending on material you will typically see a disturbing dripping or overshooting of the media – varying volume loss or dispensing inaccuracies are related to the viscosity of the media. The reason for this is the aspired reduction in pressure on the system and media side. A valve would be favorable which sits directly at the exit point and seals immediately after dispensing. The cleanvalve closing valve, which is based on a development of the Fraunhofer IPA, offers the solution for this. The valve component can be easily and fastly adapted to conventional dispensing systems or can be integrated into existing fluid circuits.

Typical applications are in the field of micro assembly and dispensing technology while dosing glue, solder or other media especially with low volumes and required highest precision and reliablitly. Additional applications are in the area of life sciences and process engineering where costly and sensible materials need to be dispensed highly precisly. In these applications losses due to dripping cannot be accepted. Dosing of liquid soap, giving medicine as well as lubricating friction bearings are amongst others additional application fields for the cleanvalve.
