NRW-Japan Seminar - Pitch of companies from Fukushima and North-Rhine-Westphalia: Recording of the live stream

Close economic relations between Japan and the EU

Japan and the EU have had close economic relations for a long time, especially in the field of microtechnology. According to IVAM’s 2018 economic data survey, more than fifty percent of European microtechnology companies and a quarter of research organizations have business relations with Japan.

The successful project "Medizintechnik NRW-Japan" helps to bring together medical technology companies from both countries, to launch joint developments and to work on the markets in Japan and Germany as part of the cooperation between NRW and the Fukushima Prefecture.

Pitch of high-tech companies from Fukushima and North-Rhine-Westphalia

As part of a cooperation project between NRW and Fukushima Prefecture, regular events help companies to initiate joint developments and open up markets in Japan and Germany. In this way, a new forward-looking industry is being established in Fukushima Prefecture in particular, which is also supported by the Japanese side. A good partnership with Japanese companies facilitates market entry for the North Rhine-Westphalian medical industry, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises, and the marketing of Japanese products in Germany.

At the trade show virtual.COMPAMED 2020, a whole session was dedicated to this topic. The recording is still available on YouTube. A total of ten presentations were devoted to companies from Fukushima and North-Rhine-Westphalia. Below you will find the time schedule when which presentation will be shown in the video.

NRW.Global Business GmbH – Trade & Investment Agency organized this event together with the Chamber of Commerce of Dusseldorf as a specialist coordinator and IVAM as the implementation organization.
