Antimicrobially equipped surfaces have been used in sensitive areas, like in medical technology, for some time. Triggered by SARS-CoV-2, people are currently being sensitized in their perception of hygiene. The demand for surfaces with antibacterial and antiviral effects is thus increasingly coming to the fore. This type of functionalization is of course indisputably important, especially for objects that are touched frequently.
The conference is dedicated to the possibilities of how surfaces and materials can be specifically modified, coated or disinfected. Mechanisms of action are described and it is explained how the effectiveness can be tested. Speakers from all areas of the value-added chain, from research institutes to experts for testing antimicrobial products and surfaces, as well as system and technology providers and users, will be represented by speakers from all areas of the value-added chain, thus guaranteeing practical and application-oriented technical presentations.
The event will be accompanied by an exhibition of the presenting companies and will take place at the Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid in Germany. Due to the current situation, online participation via video conference is also possible.
