Artificial intelligence offers great opportunities and challenges for SMEs

The IVAM business forum "Artificial Intelligence - Machine Learning, Deep Learning - Benefits and Importance for companies" brought leading experts together to illuminate the topic of artificial intelligence from many sides. The presenter of the event, IVAM Advisory Council member Gottfried Dutiné, who had also prepared the content of the sessions, emphasized in his introductory words the significance of this technology for the future of Germany as a leading industrial nation.

IVAM joint booth draws interest: Successful debut for manufacturers of microtechnology components at CMEF in Shanghai

The IVAM Microtechnology Network attended the CMEF, China International Medical Equipment Fair, in Shanghai for the first time with a joint booth in mid-May to support suppliers of medical equipment to enter the market in China. The exhibiting companies were highly satisfied with the course of the fair which is considered to be the largest medical technology exhibition in China.

Microtechnology industry confident: positive economic development and market trends to continue

The results of the survey the IVAM Microtechnology Network carried out in February and March do not predict a major departure from the positive economic development of recent years. The majority of European companies have raised turnover and staff in 2018 and expect a further increase throughout the next few years.

FRT GmbH from Bergisch Gladbach has once again won the IVAM Marketing Prize. The company has been awarded the 11th IVAM Marketing Prize in Dortmund on April 4 at the evening reception of the one-day-conference High-Tech Summit in Dortmund, thus successfully defending the award for innovative and creative high-tech marketing.

Brexit uncertainty dampens mood of European microtechnology industry

The microtechnology industry in Europe expects virtually no positive impulses from Brexit, neither for the industry nor for individual businesses. The results of a survey conducted by the IVAM Microtechnology Network shortly before the exit date more than anything else reflect the uncertainty about the future economic relations between Great Britain and the European Union after Brexit.
