The expertise in the area of Biomaterials at Fraunhofer IFAM performs process and materials development of biomaterials focusing on manufacturing of components for medical applications. Core competences are process developments in powder and micro injection moulding for metallic materials and resorbable composites. Furthermore, biomimetic approaches for the modification of biopolymers are pursued.
