AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH

10th COMPAMED Spring Convention

Speaker: Dr. Giorgio C. Mutinati

Within the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, thanks to the cooperation with different industries, we built up over the years a strong expertise in Micro- & Nanotechnology.

The research focus of our group is the development of medical diagnostic biosensors and their system integration for Point-of-Care applications (www.ait.ac.at/en/research-fields/point-of-care-diagnostics-biosensors/). To this end, we employ the state-of-the-art equipment of our Micro- & Nanotechnology lab. Apart from these specific research applications, we offer our technology services also to diverse other industrial sectors.

Services

The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology offers custom services for simulating, fabricating and characterizing micro- and nano-structures and devices. The laboratories are well equipped with state-of-the art facilities and our unique expertise relies on combining semiconductor technologies and thin film processes with innovative concepts from micro-, nano- and bio-sciences.  Prospective clients are encouraged to contact us. We will be happy to help you select the appropriate methods and processes to solve your technical challenges.

Here the summary of the offered services (www.ait.ac.at/nano):

  • Fabrication: functional material printing, sputtering (>30 Materials), Evaporation, Structuring
  • Characterization: Scanning Electron Microscopy; Atomic Force Microscopy; electrical, magnetic and optical measurements
  • Simulaton and modelling: magnetic, photonic, optical and microfluidic systems
