The CiS Research Institute for Microsensors GmbH informs about three workshops which will take place this fall at the location in Erfurt.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 there will be a workshop on the subject “Innovative concepts of assembly and connection technology for MEMS and MOEMS”. The aim of the event is to present and discuss current results from research and development in the field of assembly and connection technology for silicon-based MEMS sensors such as pressure sensors or Si strain gauges, for IR components and high-power LEDs.

“New sensor solutions for biology and health care” are the main topic on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. The workshop addresses interested parties in new sensor solutions and technologies for applications in biology and medicine as well as those who are looking for the exchange and networking with experts from industry and research in this area. The contributions cover the topics of invasive and non-invasive medical sensor systems, microelectronics-based on-site diagnostics, cell analysis and lab-on-chip.

On Monday and Tuesday, December 3 and 4, 2018 the event “FuTuRe II - Workshop on the Future of Silicon Detector Technologies” takes place. By upgrading existing and building new HEP experiments, the demands on detectors and detector systems are constantly increasing. CiS would like to give participants the opportunity to report on ongoing developments and to invite to discussions and brainstorming in order to design possible technological solutions and to initiate new research projects.
